Israel Adesanya and Yoel Romero have performed an epic dance-off at the UFC 248 press conference in Houston. The fighters were promoting their highly-anticipated middleweight bout, with Adesanya set to defend his belt against Romero on March 7 in Las Vegas. The press conference began with a serious face-off between the pair before Adesanya showed off his UFC middleweight belt.‘The Last Stylebender’ then started the dance-off with some salsa moves and shuffling before Cuban fighter Romero took it to the next level with a perfectly-timed backflip. The dance-off shows the amount of respect that exists between the two fighters.

This respect meant that the press conference was a simple one for UFC President Dana White, who didn’t have to hold the fighters from each other or stop any fighting.

While Romero seemingly won the dance battle at the press conference, it remains to be seen whether he will be victorious in the Octagon.

His opponent, 30-year-old Adesanya, recently captured the attention of the UFC world with his knockout victory over Robert Whittaker back in October 2019.

The Nigerian-New Zealand fighter now holds a record of 18 wins to zero losses, meaning his undefeated record will be on the line against Romero.

UFC superstar Jorge Masvidal recently gave his fight prediction for Adesanya v Romero. He said: ‘I think it’s going to be an amazing fight.

I’m going with my boy Yoel. But Izzy’s one of the best guys I’ve seen for a while at 185’.

Romero’s last fight was against Brazilian Paulo Costa at UFC 241, on the undercard of Cormier v Miocic 2.

Costa took the victory via unanimous decision at UFC 241 in August 2019, meaning Romero will be looking to record a big win against Adesanya when the pair finally meet in the Octagon.

UFC 248 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 7.
