Let's start with a reminder that Cristiano Ronaldo is now 35-years-old. 

The forward has just made history for the 87749174th time with the opening goal against Hellas Verona. 

That will come as no surprise given the frankly ludicrous form the Portuguese has been in since the turn of the year. 

Courtesy of his latest strike, Ronaldo has become the first Juventus player in history to find the back of the net in 10 consecutive games. 

In doing so, he overtakes the record set by the legendary David Trezeguet, who managed the feat in nine matches on the bounce.

His goal was remarkable not only for its capacity to break records but also for an impressive dribble, Ronaldo picking the ball up from just inside his own half and sprinting to the edge of the Verona box before slotting past the 'keeper.

Many assumed when he moved to Turin that while he was used to making history in the Premier League with Manchester United and in particular in La Liga at Real Madrid, Serie A would be more of a winding down exercise.
