It would seem that Call of Duty themselves have accidentally leaked details for the second season of its online multiplayers battle pass.

The leak on the site released a tonne of information on the content that will be provided by the battle pass, including one very familiar face from a previous instalment in the 'Modern Warfare' franchise.

There is also a fan-favourite weapon from the 'Modern Warfare' franchise returning under a new alias.

So, who is this returning character?

'Modern Warfare' Season Two battle pass will see the return of Ghost, a character from the 'Modern Warfare 2' campaign mode.

Ghost was part of Captain Price’s Task Force 141 and was a key character in the campaign until the mission ‘Loose Ends.’ This mission is where the campaign in 'Modern Warfare 2' really kicked off as you are betrayed by General Sheppard, who kills both Ghost and the character you were playing as ‘Roach.’

This is Ghost’s first return to the 'Modern Warfare' series since the famous betrayal. Although SPOILER ALERT, if you have finished the campaign in the latest addition to the 'Modern Warfare' series, in the end sequence you will know that Ghost was mentioned by Captain Price whilst he is assembling ‘Task Force 141’.

Some fan theories believe that the new Ghost is actually ‘Alex’, who we are meant to believe died setting off the explosion which destroys Barkov’s gas factory.

There were two new guns released in the leak and one seems to look very similar to a previous fan-favourite. The first gun leaked is the GRAU 5.56 assault rifle, which is noted to be ‘lightweight, manoeuvrable and full of potential.’

The second gun shown by the leak, the ‘Striker 45’, looks very similar to the UMP 45, which has been a favourite in past 'Call of Duty' instalments. The only question is, will it be as over-powered as it was in 'Modern Warfare 2'?

The rest of the leak just shows the standard items you can expect in a battle pass, operator skins, gun items and emblems for example.

Season Two drops this coming Tuesday, February 11, which will reveal the rest of the content.
