Cristiano Ronaldo is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down.

Despite a relatively slow start to the campaign, the Portuguese has burst into life over the last two months, scoring in his last 10 Serie A games.

Ronaldo may have just turned 35, but he's playing like a world-class 28-year-old at the peak of his powers.

The Portuguese is no doubt being motivated by the return of his favourite competition, the Champions League, and the prospect of the upcoming Euro 2020 tournament in the summer.

But the success of his eternal enemy Lionel Messi could be what's really spurring on the Juve man.

That's because since the Argentine won his sixth Ballon d'Or back on December 2, no player has scored more goals than Ronaldo.

He's notched 14 for Juve, while Messi has only managed five with Barcelona in what's been a difficult few months for player and club.

Even Europe's elite goal scorers in 2019/20 pale in comparison to Ronaldo's record over the last two months.

Lazio's Ciro Immobile - who has 25 Serie A goals already this season - has only managed nine goals in the same timeframe.

Bayern Munich goal machine Robert Lewandowski only has eight to his name since December 2, although Germany's prolonged winter break hasn't exactly helped his cause.

But you simply cannot look past Ronaldo's brilliance over in Italy.

He's already conquered his third major European league, scoring a goal every 88 minutes in Serie A this season.

No player in the history of the game has ever made the art of goal scoring look as easy as Ronaldo.

Wherever he goes, in any competition, the back of the net is rippled by a man who looks like he could play at the very highest level well into his 40s.

Immobile may be five goals clear of Ronaldo at the top of the Serie A scoring charts right now, but the Italian's place at the top is far from safe.
