It’s been an extremely tough week for Barcelona.Lionel Messi has been linked with various top European clubs after hitting out at the club’s sporting director Eric Abidal. The Catalan giants were then dumped out of the Copa del Rey by Athletic Bilbao on Thursday evening, losing 1-0 thanks to a Sergio Busquets’ own goal. They ended the week with a tough trip to Benito Villamarín Stadium, where 13th-placed Real Betis will have fancied their chances prior to kick-off.And it was the home side who took the lead in the sixth minute from the penalty spot. Former Real Madrid player Sergio Canales successfully converted his spot-kick past Marc-Andre ter Stegen after the ball struck Clement Lenglet’s arm inside the box.

But just minutes later Barça were back on level terms thanks to an outrageously good team goal.

Messi picked the ball up around 45 yards from goal and drove forward before picking out an inch-perfect pass to Frenkie de Jong.

De Jong, who’d timed his run perfectly, chested the ball down and slammed it past Joel Robles on the volley to equalise.

What a beautiful goal!

However, this replay only tells part of the story.

The move actually started from Barcelona’s own penalty box, as this video shows…

An absolutely fantastic team goal.

Quique Setién hasn’t always had that much to smile about since replacing Ernesto Valverde, but the Spanish coach stood on the touchline and gave the applause this goal deserved.

Betis re-took the lead in the 26th minute courtesy of Nabil Fekir, whose left-footed strike left Ter Stegen with no chance.

But on the stroke of half-time, Busquets made amends for Thursday night's own goal by equalising - thanks to an assist from, who else, Messi again.
