It seems Matt Riddle isn’t going to let his dream of having a match with Brock Lesnar die, as he’s made a huge promise to WWE fans at a recent NXT live event. It’s well known that Riddle wants to have a match with Lesnar, as he’s been very vocal about it in the past on his social media. The Original Bro’s posts even caught the attention of The Beast himself, and the two had an altercation at the Royal Rumble event last month.Lesnar reportedly told Riddle that night that no matter what he says, he will never have a match with him inside the squared circle.Well, this hasn’t stopped the NXT star from trying to speak a match with the WWE Champion into existence.

At an NXT live event in Las Vegas over the weekend, Riddle said: "I have never stopped. I kept training. I knew the goal, the dream, was right in front of me and I'm not gonna stop.

“This is just the beginning. 12 years ago it started and 12 years from now I'll still be going. I guarantee you this Las Vegas. The Bro retires Brock Lesnar!"

WWE fans at the event were eating Riddle’s words up, but whether or not WWE themselves think the same way is a different story.

WWE has reportedly told their NXT superstars not to call out superstars on either Raw or SmackDown, as they could be booking matches which WWE can’t deliver upon.

This could be the case in Riddle’s situation with Lesnar, especially if the report of their Royal Rumble confrontation was true.

While The Original Bro eyes a big match with The Beast in the future, he has another huge match this weekend at NXT TakeOver: Portland.

On Sunday at NXT TakeOver: Portland, Riddle and Pete Dunne as The Broserweights will face The Undisputed Era’s Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly for the NXT Tag Team Championship.
