Becky Lynch has had an incredible year in WWE, building on her amazing win at WrestleMania 35 to become the face of the entire company.
Lynch has been Raw Women’s Champion for over 300 days ever since she defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in the main event of last year’s WrestleMania.
Approaching the one year anniversary of her current Raw Women’s title reign, it’s still unclear as to who The Man will be defending the title against at this year’s WrestleMania, but most people believe she will face Shayna Baszler.
This could all change when she defends her title against Asuka this week, but she is expected to come out of that match still the Raw Women’s Champion.
Recently, however, there have been signs that Lynch could potentially turn heel in the near future. It might not happen until after this year’s Showcase of Immortals, but the signs are there.

- WWE could book Goldberg to win Universal title at SSD
- Matt Riddle tells fans at live event he'll retire Brock Lesnar
Here are three signs WWE could be turning The Man heel in the near future.
No More Credible Competition
Over the past year, Lynch has run through almost the entire roster on Monday Night Raw and has come out on top in every single occasion. She's starting to feel there's no more credible competition for her to face.
She has defended the title against Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Lacey Evans, Natalya, Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks over the past year on TV and at live events, leaving only a few superstars she is yet to face.
Flipping the script, however, and making The Man a heel completely changes the picture. It adds a whole new dimension to the women’s division on Raw.
A heel Lynch opens up new storylines for her that wouldn’t be possible if she was a face, and the opening she leaves behind her also allows WWE to bring another babyface through the ranks of the women’s division.
Pushing An Arrogance Persona
Over the past couple of weeks, especially since she beat Asuka at the Royal Rumble, Lynch has been adopting a new persona that has got WWE fans talking.
Whether it be through her promos or her mannerisms, or with the ‘Deal With It’ sunglasses, arrogance is shining through. She knows she can’t be beaten.
This arrogance persona is another sign WWE could be turning The Man heel soon, as arrogance is not a characteristic that is associated with face superstars.
It’s added freshness to her character, but it’s not a babyface trait, so it could lead to her spelling that arrogance on the WWE Universe in the near future, thus turning her heel in the process.
Fans Growing Tired of The Man
Lynch is still one of the most over superstars in WWE, but just like those before her, fans are starting to get tired of the gimmick.
No gimmick stays fresh forever, and time could soon be up for The Man, at least in its current incarnation.
WWE must be careful with Lynch when they book her so that The Man and her confidence doesn’t become annoying arrogance if they are to keep her as a face.
However, if it does become annoying arrogance, they could turn her heel in order to reignite fan engagement in the right manner and also so that the persona fits the gimmick.
A heel version of The Man may be difficult for some WWE fans to fathom at this current moment of time because of her popularity, but it may become a reality sooner than you think.News Now - Sport News
