A commercial in Philadelphia during Monday Night Raw this week may have spoiled what the main event will be for the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view next month.

WrestleMania is starting to take shape. Only a WWE Championship match between Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre is on the card, but there’s still plenty of time for WWE to add more matches to the show before it happens on April 5.

One event that will add more matches to this year’s Showcase of Immortals, as it usually does every year, is the Elimination Chamber.

The Elimination Chamber event this year takes place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on March 8 and will likely be WWE’s last big show before WrestleMania 36.

During last night’s Raw broadcast, WWE fans in the Philly area were treated to an advert for the Elimination Chamber show next month.

The commercial showed an Elimination Chamber match of Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman vs Daniel Bryan vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs King Corbin vs Robert Roode, which will likely be the main event of the show.

The winner of this match will become the number one contender for the Universal Champion and will probably have their match at WrestleMania.

The Elimination Chamber match winner will likely face either Bray Wyatt or Goldberg, depending on who wins in their Universal title match at Super ShowDown on February 27.

Of course, plans are always subject to change in WWE, but this line-up of SmackDown superstars makes the most sense for the Universal Championship picture.

It has long been rumoured that Reigns will face The Fiend for the Universal title at WrestleMania this year, so a win at Elimination Chamber could be how WWE plans to book The Big Dog in the spot.

Bryan has been feuding with Wyatt for the Universal title already for the past couple of months, while Strowman and Nakamura have been wrapped up in their own feud over the Intercontinental title.

As for Corbin and Roode, they’ll be teaming up to do their best to make sure Reigns doesn’t come out of the match as the winner, although this could be a sign that the pact Roode has with Corbin could be on the verge of splitting.

We’ll have to wait and see if WWE confirms this Universal title number one contender match for Elimination Chamber over the next few weeks.
