Manny Pacquiao has once again set tongues wagging over the possibility of a super-fight with Conor McGregor after signing for Paradigm Sports Management.

McGregor is undoubtedly Paradigm's highest-profile client and Pacquiao's decision to sign on with the company is a real signal of intent.

It is no secret that Pacquiao and his team are keen on a fight with McGregor, with the Irishman himself commenting on the possibility of a fight in the aftermath of UFC 246.

"The Manny Pacquiao talks are ongoing," McGregor began.

"For me, an aspiration of mine also is to win a world boxing title, I think that would be a phenomenal feather in the cap and something I look to achieve in the future."

McGregor recently made a triumphant return to the Octagon when he dispatched Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone inside a minute at UFC 246.

His original super-fight with Floyd Mayweather was nothing short of a sensation, garnering mass attention from all over the globe.

Now, the fact that both McGregor and Pacquiao are represented by the same company could mean that the wheels have been set in motion for a super-fight sequel.

For now, though, it seems that McGregor is fully focused on UFC as he awaits the winner of the Tony Ferguson v Khabib Nurmagomedov bout.

There are plenty of reports suggesting that McGregor will take on the winner of that clash with many hoping that a potential Nurmagomedov rematch becomes a reality.

With that in mind, it may be a purely coincidental move from Pacquiao but you can't help but feel there is a lot more to this decision than meets the eye.

A Las Vegas match-up between two of the biggest names in combat sports would undoubtedly be huge and you'd expect it to be quite a payday for both fighters.

McGregor is reported to have earned over $100 million from the Mayweather bout and will be looking at similar figures for a match-up with the Filipino superstar.

It would certainly be one of the biggest nights in combat sports and we're all for the idea.

Make it happen, lads.
