Yesterday it was confirmed that WrestleMania 37 would be taking place in Los Angeles, as predicted by many outlets.

The general consensus was that it was down to L.A. and Las Vegas for the right to host wrestling's biggest spectacle, and it's gone to a city that is only behind New York when it comes to staging WrestleMania.

Unlike the last time Mania came to Hollywood, where just over 20,000 people packed into the Staples Center for WrestleMania 21, the 2021 edition will take place inside a brand-new 100,000-seater stadium in Inglewood.

The SoFi Stadium is still under construction, but the multi-purpose venue has been chosen to house the biggest wrestling stars, and it will be seen as a test-run for the NFL's Super Bowl the following year.

With the amount of fans it can house, a marquee match will be needed to raise the roof - and Roman Reigns has teased a mammoth encounter against a family member in the form of The Rock.

"If there is a stadium to hold... hey, DJ [Dwayne Johnson] - check it out, not bad, right?" Reigns said as he spoke to Marc Raimondi of ESPN.

"Everyone’s always dream matching me and first of all, we’re family so it’s all love.

"But if there was going to be an event for him to compete in, to perform in - a venue to hold that mass of attention he’s going to bring, it’s right in your back yard, you know what I mean?"

No doubt this will get fans all excited, but let's remember that The Rock hasn't competed in a full-blown match since 2013 [we don't count the six-second match against Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32].

We all know that Dwayne is always in top shape, but shaking off the ring rust for a huge match will be another challenge in itself.

Reigns v Rock is a match that a LOT of fans want to see though, and if WWE can see the money in it, they'd be foolish to not make it next year!
