Eden Hazard is set to make his long-awaited return to action against Celta Vigo this weekend. The Belgian winger, who Real Madrid signed from Chelsea in a deal worth an initial £100 million last summer, has finally recovered from the ankle injury that he sustained back in November.Hazard limped out of Madrid’s Champions League group stage clash with Paris Saint-Germain on November 26 and hasn’t played since. The 29-year-old has experienced an inauspicious start to life at the Bernabeu. In 13 appearances for the Spanish giants, Hazard has assisted four goals but only managed to score once.

It’s fair to say that Real Madrid fans expected a lot more from the former Premier League star - although they can’t wait to see him back in action following a lengthy lay-off.

That said, it’s not as if Los Blancos have been struggling in his absence.

Since Hazard’s last appearance, Zinedine Zidane’s side have lost just one of their 16 games.

Madrid are three points clear of second-placed Barcelona at the top of La Liga and take on Manchester City later this month in the Champions League.

With that in mind, Hazard’s return to action is extremely timely for the La Liga leaders.

And the Belgium international is looking sharp in training.

He posted a video of himself scoring a couple of bangers via Twitter on Wednesday evening.

Even Sergio Ramos had to applaud those beauties.

Additional footage from Wednesday’s training session shows him moving freely during a competitive drill with his teammates…

It’s been a long, arduous road to recovery for Hazard, who has put in the hard work inside the gym in recent weeks to ensure he’s ready to help the team end the season on a high.

And if he can produce his best form on his return to action then he’ll feel like a brand new signing for Madrid.
