Jon Jones is seemingly the latest in a long line of MMA stars who want to try their hand at the world of sports entertainment.

Ken Shamrock, Ronda Rousey, Matt Riddle, Cain Velasquez - the list is never-ending and it could be about to grow even longer.

After defeating Dominick Reyes this past weekend at UFC 247 in his third straight successful defence of the light heavyweight championship, Jones admitted that a switch to WWE was 'inevitable' at this point.

Those comments seemingly irked 'The Man' Becky Lynch, who has told 'Bones' to forget about it if he just wants an easy pay-day, but there's every chance that he wants to be a committed wrestler.

Jones has the full package - he's a true athlete, he has charisma and he can definitely talk, so if he wants a place in WWE, he's probably already got it.

One man who would definitely welcome Jones to WWE is the company poster boy Roman Reigns, who has said he would feel comfortable stepping into the squared circle with the MMA legend.

"He's definitely got tools. I mean, there's no doubt he's a bad man, no doubt," said Reigns to TMZ at the WrestleMania 37 location reveal event.

"But obviously what we do is a little bit different than the Octagon, and it's going to be a different travel schedule and different demands.

"But I definitely think he's got a great name. He's got a great work ethic, and he had a great, huge career that's still going in MMA. So I would absolutely say keep your eye on the ball from now, Jon. Don't worry about WWE.

But I definitely think there could be a future for him if he can put in the time and transition and develop the skills that we use.

Could we see Reigns v Jones down the line in a WWE ring then? Reigns certainly loves the idea of it at least.

"Someone like Jon Jones, I mean, if you're going to step in the WWE ring, you're most likely going to want to be in there with the Big Dog," Reigns stated.

"It would be a hell of a fight. "But when it comes to the squared circle, I don't think there's anybody better in the world [than me]. So, yeah, I'd feel very comfortable being in the ring with Jon Jones."
