WWE news: Bray Wyatt threatens to attack Hulk Hogan in tense segment on SmackDown

Hulk Hogan and Bray Wyatt had words for each other on SmackDown

Bray Wyatt is set to run into perhaps his fiercest challenger yet for the Universal Championship at Super ShowDown.

On February 27, he will put the title up for grabs against WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg, who is returning to the ring after a six-month absence.

The WCW legend needed to put his last Super ShowDown appearance last June against The Undertaker behind him as he faced Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam, and you'd be forgiven for thinking that he might've been done after redeeming himself.

However he, or the Saudi people who are paying him to wrestle, clearly want more Bill Goldberg, and he set up a huge title match last week on SmackDown against The Fiend.

Wyatt though has seemingly riled up another Hall of Famer - and his name is Hulk Hogan.

Hogan was making an appearance on SmackDown last night to hype up his second Hall of Fame induction this year - as part of the nWo - and he will also be attending Super ShowDown.

His segment though was interrupted by the Firefly Fun House, as Wyatt strutted into shot with his title belt in Hogan's famous guitar pose.

Hogan then warned the Universal Champion that Goldberg is no laughing matter and that he'll need to be careful in Riyadh.

But that response provoked Wyatt, who said there was space for Hogan on his own little Wall of Fame in the Fun House, where he keeps pictures of the superstars who he's eviscerated in the past.

Bray Wyatt may have angered Hogan, but The Fiend will be coming to play at Super ShowDown against Goldberg

The Hulkster soon cut the interview off and left the building, telling Bray that he will see him and the WWE Universe in Tampa for the Hall of Fame ceremony (what about Super ShowDown, Hulk?), leaving a cheery Wyatt on camera for himself.

Is this a hint that Hogan is going to get involved in Wyatt v Goldberg at Super ShowDown? It really doesn't need any outside interference, but why else would they intertwine Hogan into this feud?

The best case scenario looks to be that Wyatt needed someone to interact with this week, and that Hogan won't actually be getting involved when the match happens in Saudi Arabia.

Only time will tell if Hogan makes his mark on the match in 12 days time...
