Liverpool took a step closer to the Premier League title with a hard-fought win over Norwich on Saturday evening. The Reds went into the game as the heavy favourites but struggled to break their opponents down. That was until Sadio Mane popped up with 12 minutes go to score the only goal of the game and give his side all three points. On the whole, it was a frustrating evening for Liverpool's attackers.Roberto Firmino started from the outset and would have a mixed day.

But he did produce some two masterful pieces of skill in the first half.

Firmino came ever so close to breaking the deadlock after producing a brilliant touch after 10 minutes.

The Brazilian forward looked destined to score as he expertly took down Jordan Henderson's long ball, but a Norwich defender just managed to get back in time.

Should he have put that back in the net, that would have gone down as one of the best goals of the Premier League season so far.

Firmino then produced a quite ridiculous pass a few minutes later.

Picking the ball up roughly 30 yards out, the 28-year-old looked as if he would keep the play moving and pass to Naby Keita.

But, instead of attempting the easy pass, Firmino produced the outrageous as he played a no-look scooped pass to Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Dutchman was able to control the ball in his stride but was unable to go past his man.

Firmino really does make it look so easy. He was recently given five-star skills on FIFA 20 and he's gone on to justify that.

It's this sort of skill that has seen him draw comparisons with two Premier League greats: Dennis Bergkamp and Eric Cantona.

And talkSPORT presenter Adam Catterall actually thinks he's the best of the trio.

“You’ve just said off-air about him being better Dennis Bergkamp and Eric Cantona,” revealed Bent.

“He’s better than both of them,” Catterall reiterated.

“Bergkamp was exceptional. Eric Cantona, I think I’ve been on the record in the past saying he’s one of the most important players that ever graced the Premier League.

"But their importance on their sides at their particular times at Arsenal and Manchester United respectively, Firmino is that for Liverpool. That’s how important he is.”
