Jon Jones may have been the latest UFC star to express an interest in jumping ship to WWE in the future, but it's a legend of the past who may be next to walk through the revolving door of Vince McMahon's business.

UFC light heavyweight champion Jones stated it's 'inevitable' that he will end up in WWE one day, a comment which excited Roman Reigns but annoyed Becky Lynch.

WWE seem to have a love for MMA stars, with Cain Velasquez recently adding to the likes of Ronda Rousey, Ken Shamrock and Matt Riddle who turned their backs on the sport for wrestling.

And judging by recent sightings at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, another cage fighter looks likely to be given a run with the company.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Tito Ortiz has been training with WWE and he wants to get back into being involved in pro wrestling, per WrestlingInc.

The UFC Hall of Famer had brief stints in TNA Wrestling in 2005 and 2013, the latter spell saw him join the Aces & Eights stable led by Bully Ray.

Ortiz has never wrestled a match before though, and at the age of 45 he looks like he wants to finally get into the ring properly.

The Huntingdon Beach Bad Boy has actually just come off the back of defeating former WWE star Alberto Del Rio in an MMA match in December, and per the stipulations of the bout he took the Mexican's replica WWE Championship belt from him.

Ortiz could've actually joined WWE a number of years ago, as he told WrestlingInc back in December that he went to WrestleMania 19 in Seattle in 2003 to have talks with the company.

But it could actually be happening for real now, seeing as though Velasquez ended up signing with the company albeit a year after he trained at the Performance Center.

Being there is usually a good indicator for someone wanting to get through the door of the company, and with a name as big as Ortiz's, WWE may not turn him down despite being in his mid-40's.

Could we end up seeing Ortiz against Brock Lesnar in a WWE ring one day? You wouldn't bet against it happening!
