Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Luis Nani and Michael Carrick will both be fit for tomorrow’s Champions League tie.

The Red Devils face Marseille in the last-16 second leg at Old Trafford, and with the tie tentatively poised at 0-0, United will be boosted by the news that they will be able to call on the midfield duo’s services.

Nani hasn’t featured since he was stretchered off in the 3-1 defeat at Liverpool on 6 March after suffering a severe gash to his leg from a controversial Jamie Carragher challenge.

The Portuguese international has enjoyed his best season since making the move from Sporting Lisbon in 2007, but his progress has been recently hampered with a succession of injuries.

After missing Saturday’s 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final victory over Arsenal, Nani and Carrick - who himself has recovered from a calf injury, both trained yesterday and are now set to feature against Marseille tomorrow night.
