Liverpool are now five wins away from the Premier League title after defeating Norwich City on Saturday. The Reds found it tough to break down their opponents but finally took the lead when Sadio Mane netted the opener with just over 10 minutes remaining. And Jurgen Klopp's side would hold on to make it 25 wins from 26 games. As for Norwich, that was another defeat for them and they are currently routed to the bottom of the Premier League table and seven points away from safety. It would have been understandable that fans of the Norwich club were in poor spirits after the game with their team having endured another defeat.

However, that wasn't exactly the case.

Klopp is massively popular with Liverpool fans and even Norwich supporters couldn't get enough of him after the game.

A video has been circulating on social media of Norwich fans interacting and posing for pictures moments after watching their side lose.

One man can be heard saying: "Well played...come here. Shake my b****y hand!" before sharing a warm handshake with the German manager.

He then poses for pictures with several more Norwich fans while others shout his name asking for a picture.

Klopp is so popular that even fans of opposing clubs adore him and treat him like a hero.

You're unlikely to see Everton and Manchester United supporters act in that manner, though...

Liverpool were not at their best on Saturday but did enough to win in tricky conditions.

And the 52-year-old praised his side after another victory.

"25 games now [unbeaten]? It’s just incredible,” he told talkSPORT. "You cannot – and it’s a shame I have to say this – you cannot always be brilliant in these games, because nobody is always brilliant.

“These boys were so often brilliant, that we win these games not because of the skills of the boys – that helps.

“It’s the character, it’s exceptional.”
