There’s little denying that Liverpool’s current team is one of the all-time great Premier League sides.

They have collected 76 points out of a possible 78 so far this season and are on course to smash Manchester City’s record for total points in a single campaign, which currently stands at 100.

They’re a truly great side and have been mentioned in the conversation alongside Man United’s 1999 Treble winners and Arsenal’s Invincibles of 2003/04.

And as they continue to march towards a maiden Premier League title, there’s no better time to start picking some combined XIs.

Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher were at it on Monday evening, each picking a combined XI from Man United’s 1999 side and Liverpool’s current team.

There were, naturally, a few disagreements.

Just check out this selection of hilarious selection of Keane facial expressions.

Carragher selected Sadio Mane over Ryan Giggs, much to the Irishman’s bemusement.

The team, by the end, looked a little something like this - largely as a result of Keane's heavy influence.

"My loyalty's to my teammates," the former Man United midfielder admitted.

Carragher wanted Liverpool stars Mane and Mohamed Salah in his side, but Keane had a really difficult time excluding his former United teammates and even made the case to include Gary Neville and Ronny Johnsen over Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk respectively.

Never change, Roy.
