Randy Orton is back to being a psychotic character again, and it makes you wonder why WWE ever bothered making him a good guy.
It’s clear to see that The Viper does his best work as a heel, and his latest turn after slamming a chair across Edge’s neck was ‘Vintage Orton’, as Michael Cole would say.
Edge hasn’t been seen since, perhaps to the disappointment of WWE fans, but it looks like they’re saving the Rated-R Superstar for shows closer to WrestleMania, as Edge v Orton is probably going to happen in Tampa on April 5.
In the meantime though, Orton has made a new enemy in the form of Matt Hardy.
Hardy wanted an explanation last week as to why Orton did what he did to Edge, and despite the situation in 2005 which saw Edge and Matt have personal issues, Hardy explained that his former enemy is one of his best friends.

In response, Orton gave Hardy a brutal beating and delivered the same Con-chair-to to him that Edge received weeks prior.
Those actions looked to have written Matt off of WWE television for good, as he’s expected to leave the company soon and potentially join AEW.
But he was advertised to take Orton on in a No Holds Barred match on Raw last night, but it never happened owing to not being ‘medically cleared’, and he instead confronted Randy in a neck brace in the ring.
It didn’t end well.
As you can see from above, after delivering an RKO and several chair shots to Hardy, Orton placed his rival’s head onto the steel steps and delivered a devastating chair shot to the head.
Orton’s actions actually disturbed one child so much that he was pictured crying in the crowd – it’s still real to him!
Others were also seen looking emotional as Orton’s wicked ways, which shows that he’s doing something right as a masterful bad guy.
You’d imagine that Orton will soon get his comeuppance, probably at the hands of Edge at WrestleMania, and there will be a glorious reaction when it comes.
