Megan Rapinoe was a guest speaker at the Watermark Conference for Women when she stated that the possibility of her running for president is something that she doesn't have plans for but would "never say never".

During a Q&A session, the two-time World Cup winner was questioned on whether she would run for office. Rapinoe let out a small laugh as she explained: "At this time, I don't have any plans of running for office - that seems out of the question".

Her reply was followed by a rather teasing and luring comment:

"Never say never".

Rapinoe is not one to shy away from Donald Trump and his opinions, especially when it comes to injustice.

"We're everything Trump loves - except that we're powerful women".

Back in 2019, the golden boot winner stated that: "I am not anti-authority, but people abusing their power grinds my gears". To add, before their World Cup glory, the star said in a video that went viral: "I'm not going to the fucking White House".

Despite the temptation, Rapinoe's attention is on the Tokyo Games. If chosen to represent the USA, she will be at her third Olympic Games, the USA will be aiming to defend their Olympic title.

Coming off of a World Cup win, the USA is undoubtfully the favourites for the title, however with a team GB it will certainly give them a challenge.

"We take the platform we have, using it for good and leaving the game in a better place and hopefully the world in a better place".

Donald Trump despite his regular dispute against Rapinoe, has not yet commented on the statement.
