When you think of WrestleMania, one legend comes to mind and that is The Undertaker.

Despite his streak no longer being intact, Taker has become synonymous with the event since 1991, and he shows no signs of slowing down.

But despite all the things he's achieved on the Grandest Stage of Them All, The Deadman chose to stay away from MetLife Stadium last year for Mania 35, instead returning at Super ShowDown two months later against Goldberg.

News broke last week though that Taker was set to be on the WrestleMania card in Tampa, and a rumour that a showdown against WCW icon Sting was on the cards did the rounds.

But he's set to have a surprising opponent in the form of Raw star AJ Styles.

According to WrestlingNews, Taker specially requested to work with Styles as he thinks he's the modern day version of a certain WWE legend that he's had many tussles with.

That man is Shawn Michaels, who knows a thing or two about going toe-to-toe with The Deadman at the Showcase of Immortals.

Taker ended up retiring Michaels at WrestleMania 26, although we know that 'retirement' only lasted eight years.

In what may just be a coincidence, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson called Styles 'Mr. WrestleMania' on Raw last night, which only fuels the HBK comparisons even more.

But it is thought that labelling him as such will start the tease to him having a big match in Tampa on April 5, and sooner rather than later, Taker is set to return to WWE programming.

Whilst his match against Goldberg in Saudi Arabia last year may have been botch-filled, the Taker of old looked to have returned the following month.

He teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules and looked to be back to his best.

And there's no doubt that a man like Styles, who could get a good match out of an inflatable doll, will be able to carry Undertaker to a solid encounter - unless plans change of course!
