Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland is scoring everything he touches right now.

Football fans knew the Norwegian striker was special from his form at Red Bull Salzburg earlier in the season, but going one better at Signal Iduna Park shows he could be a talent for the ages.

Haaland found the net twice during Dortmund's 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, astonishingly extending his record in Germany to 11 strikes from just seven appearances.

As a result, it will come as little surprise that Haaland is the top-scoring teenager in Europe this season with a total of 39(!!!) goals in 29 games and that got us thinking at GIVEMESPORT...

We decided to call upon the vast bank of data at Transfermarkt to see which players under the age of 20 scored the most goals on the continent over the last 15 seasons.

Europe's top teenage scorers

In other words, who were the predecessors to Haaland's throne and how many goals did they need to lay the footsteps for their Norwegian torchbearer?

Well, we're including all goals scored in Europe's top 15 leagues - as well as their respective cup competitions and European tournaments - in order to provide the answers.

Prolific teenage goal-scorers

There's plenty of familiar names in there, right?

The likes of Benzema and Lukaku have gone on to establish themselves at top European clubs, while others such as Jo, El Shaarawy and Batshuayi have never justified their early hype.

It's also worth noting that Haaland just needs one more goal to become the highest scoring teenager that Europe has seen over the last 15 years and only Mbappe has been able to go toe-to-toe with him.

And how can we not mention Mbappe when he topped three seasons in a row? The continent has seldom seen a player that can maintain such a lofty goal-scoring rate through their formative years.

So, it's perhaps understandable that some fans are pretending as though Mbappe vs Haaland could be the Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi of the next 10 years.

But for our money, we need to calm down about Haaland - although he is worthy of so much praise - for now and admit that he's a fair way behind Mbappe at this early stage.

You just know there's a whole hall's worth of Ballon d'Or trophies with their names on it, mind...
