Manchester City defeated West Ham 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.Rodri netted the opener after half-an-hour, heading home from a Kevin De Bruyne corner. And the Belgian doubled City's lead in the second half as he fired past Lukasz Fabianski. It was a quiet night for Sergio Aguero.Aside from a golden opportunity that he spurned in the second half, the Argentine had a quiet night in front of goal.

But he should have been given a penalty in the opening 45 minutes.

With the game at 0-0, it looked all for the world that Aguero would net and put his side 1-0 up.

But he was impeded by Ogbonna, who resorted to desperate measures to prevent his opponent from hitting the back of the net.

The Italian defender grabbed Ogbonna by the private parts which threw Aguero off stride.

Watch it below:

Somehow, the referee did not point to the spot.

VAR did not even think it was a penalty, either, which is bemusing when you watch it back.

Fortunately for City, it did not come back to bite them as they cruised to an easy three points.

They remain in second place and have cut the gap at the top of the table to 22 points.

West Ham, on the other hand, are still in the relegation zone and are one point away from safety.
