Tensions reached boiling point at the final pre-fight press conference between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury yesterday.Ahead of Saturday night’s showdown between the heavyweights, the MGM Grand hosted a fiery and ill-tempered face-off between the pair.Initially, Fury pushed right up against the ‘Bronze Bomber’s’ chest, which resulted in the American shoving the ‘Gypsy King’ backwards with the Brit responding with a push of his own. What ensued was Fury telling Wilder: “You big dosser. You’re getting knocked spark out.”Wilder replied saying: “You don’t even know how you got up.”

This was making reference to Fury miraculously getting to his feet following a huge shot from the American in the final round of the first fight 14 months ago.

Later in the press conference, Wilder said: “I was the one that brought you back to big time boxing!"

The American also made reference to the ‘Gypsy King’s’ well-documented struggles with depression.

“When I found you, you were contemplating killing yourself so don’t you ever forget I brought you back!”

The Brit responded by saying: “I’m gonna punch your face right in for you and laugh at you.

“Couldn’t even beat me last time. Three year’s out of the ring and I still beat you.”

Wilder then claimed that: “I have a six sense and I know what nervous energy tastes like!”

Fury subsequently hit back by saying: “I’m gonna see if he is going to get up off the floor. I don’t think he’s got the bollocks whatever you want to call it, he ain’t got it!”

Both fighters then went on to state that they have both raised the profile of boxing.

Fury, in particular, as since the first fight with Wilder, he has subsequently faced two opponents in America and even participated in a WWE event against ‘The Monster Among Men’ Braun Strowman late last year.

The Brit also made reference to the fact that Wilder is still a relative unknown in his own country America.

Following more goading about suicide from the ‘Bronze Bomber’, Fury finished by saying: “Wilder is very nervous underneath, I can see his jumper going in and out, his heart beating out of his chest, terrified! “He’s nervous as hell and he doesn’t know what to expect!”

Well, we will not have long to find out with the showdown due to take place this Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, 14 months on from their epic first encounter.
