On loan Blackpool winger Jason Puncheon is attracting interest from a host of Barclays Premier League clubs, namely Newcastle United and Everton.

The 24-year-old is enduring a fruitful spell at Bloomfield Road, where he's scored two goals in as many starts for the Tangerines, form that has plenty of Barclays Premier League club's purring.

Puncheon is unlikely to return to his parent club Southampton, where he had fallen out of favor, and with Bolton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion also sniffing around, the former Barnet man's future appears to be in the Barclays Premier League.

The Magpies are favourites to land Puncheon, with Alan Pardew having signed him while manager of Saints last year.

Pardew will have access to a hefty transfer budget after the January sale of Andy Carroll, and Toon fans will be craving a marque signing this summer.

The St James's Park club are looking to overhaul their squad for the new season with Alan Pardew worried about second season syndrome after their re-promotion to the Barclays Premier League last season.
