Simon Mignolet won’t be remembered too fondly by Liverpool fans.Despite being the club’s No.1 for about five seasons, his numerous errors frustrated supporters. He was allowed to leave the club in 2019 following the arrival of Alisson, going back to his native Belgium to sign for Club Brugge. And tonight, he came up against his old rivals, Manchester United.Mignolet started Club Brugge’s last-32 clash against United - and even registered an assist in the first-half.United felt they should have had a corner but the officials awarded the home side a goal-kick.Mignolet took it quickly and booted the ball upfield. It caught United out and Emmanuel Dennis lobbed the ball over Sergio Romero.

Astonishing.

It was actually Dennis' third goal in Europe this season. He bagged twice against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu during his side's 2-2 draw in the Champions League group stage.

And now he's scored against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United.

Solskjaer actually surprised fans by making six changes for the match - especially with it coming after the winter break with United seemingly refreshed.

While that decision was looking foolish early on with Club Brugge leading, Anthony Martial soon grabbed an away goal against the run of play.

Martial broke clear of the defence, used his pace to hold off a defender before finishing cooly.
