Ahead of Manchester City's Women's Super League clash with Chelsea on Sunday, City forward Ellen White has deemed this game 'the big one'.

White's side is currently sitting top of the WSL table and host second-place, Chelsea, at The Academy Stadium on Sunday - kick-off is 2 pm. Only one point separates the two sides, with Emma Hayes' Chelsea yet to lose a league game.

England forward says her team are 'excited about the massive game'.

“To face Chelsea is a big one for us. It’s exciting for us and for the fans. It’s a massive game and hopefully, it will put us in a good position.

“We’re putting as much hard work and preparation as we can into training. We won’t do anything too differently. We’ll just concentrate on ourselves as much as them.

“For us, it’s about doing the right things in training and recovery, analysing what we can to put us in a good place for the game.

“Home advantage is really important for us. We love playing at home at the Academy Stadium in front of our fans.

“Hopefully, we’ll put in a really big performance and continue our good run.”

The 30-year-old has scored five goals in 11 WSL appearances so far this season and was selected as part of the Lionesses' SheBelieves Cup squad by Phil Neville on Tuesday. City teammates Ellie Roebuck, Steph Houghton, Demi Stokes, Jill Scott, Georgia Stanway, Keira Walsh, and Lauren Hemp have also been picked for the competition.

Neville has also chosen three Chelsea players for his squad, they are - Carly Telford, Millie Bright, and Bethany England.
