Tyson Fury is enjoying life as WBC heavyweight champion of the world. If there was ever a time to celebrate, it would have been last night, after the Gypsy King defeated the previously undefeated Deontay Wilder to complete the most momentous of comebacks and once again hold a heavyweight championship belt.He did so in some style too. Before last night, the Bronze Bomber’s knee had never touched the canvas. Yet, Fury managed to inflict two standing counts on his opponent whilst also becoming the only man not to be dropped by Wilder in a single fight. The fight was stopped in the seventh round as Wilder’s team threw in the towel after he found himself pinned in the corner of the ring facing an onslaught of power punches delivered by the Brit. The celebrations started almost immediately too. Instead of taking the conventional route of a post-match interview, the victor – in classic Fury fashion – grabbed the mic and broke into song.

Wooed on by an exhilarated crowd at the MGM Grand, Fury delivered a fantastic rendition of American Pie which has become somewhat of a trademark karaoke killer for the newly crowned WBC champ.

Inevitably, the celebrations continued long into the night. Fury seemed to be making the most out of his time in Las Vegas and was seen partying like a winner at the Hakkasan nightclub.

Joined by his brother and former Love Island contestant, Tommy Fury, clips of his wild night have been circling around social media.

And like any good celebratory event, it climaxed with Fury and the thousands of fans in attendance joining together to belt out Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline. Fury – who had been given the DJ’s microphone – got up on stage to lead the well-known anthem in style.

He ended the night’s celebrations exactly how they had begun: not by standing on the ropes with his gloves raised in the air, but by singing American Pie again before sharing a lovely poignant moment with his wife Paris.
