WWE has reportedly changed the plans they had in replace for Roman Reigns and John Cena at WrestleMania 36.

For the past couple of months, WWE fans had known Roman Reigns and John Cena would have some sort of involvement at WrestleMania 36 in Tampa.

It has been known for some time that Roman Reigns would likely be challenging Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship at this year’s Showcase of Immortals.

Recently, it was reported as well that Cena would be going up against Elias at WrestleMania in April.

However, according to a report by the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, via Wrestling Inc, those plans have now changed.

Wrestling Observer Radio has stated the planned matches of Wyatt vs Reigns and Cena vs Elias are now being changed, but it’s currently unclear as to what the new plans are.

One rumoured plan for WrestleMania is that Goldberg could find a way to get involved in the Universal title picture.

The WCW icon is scheduled to face The Fiend for the Universal title at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia next Thursday.

Winning this match could be Goldberg’s pathway to defend the title at WrestleMania 36, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet that he will be victorious in Saudi Arabia.

Another possible plan WWE could have in mind is Cena entering the Universal title picture, going on the hunt for his record-breaking 17th world title.

The 16-time world champion could, therefore, face either Goldberg or Wyatt at the Showcase of Immortals for the Universal title, depending on who wins at Super ShowDown.

Reigns could face either Wyatt or Goldberg at WrestleMania as well, either in a Universal title match or in a straight-up singles match.

We’ll have to wait and see exactly what WWE has in store for Reigns, Cena, Wyatt, and Elias at WrestleMania 36 when they reveal more of their booking plans over the next few weeks.
