Rusev has been pulled from WWE’s Super ShowDown show in Saudi Arabia later this week, adding to reports that he could soon be leaving the company.Rusev was previously scheduled to be a part of the Super ShowDown show on Thursday in Saudi Arabia, competing in the first-ever Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet match. The Bulgarian Brute was supposed to compete against five other superstars for the trophy, but on Monday Night Raw this week, WWE subtly pulled him from the match.WWE didn’t include Rusev’s name when they announced the competitors for the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet match on Raw this week, replacing him with Rey Mysterio.WWE announced that Mysterio, R-Truth, AJ Styles, United States Champion Andrade, Erick Rowan, and Bobby Lashley will compete in the match.

They have also made new graphics and have removed Rusev’s name from the match preview on their website as well.

This removal of The Bulgarian Brute from the Super ShowDown show has added to the reports that he could soon be leaving WWE upon the expiration of his current contract.

Earlier in the month, it was reported that Rusev and WWE were still in a contract dispute and that him initially being announced for Super ShowDown was not a sign that the issues had been settled.

The three-time United States Champion’s contract with WWE is set to expire at some point soon, although it’s unclear exactly how long is left on his current deal.

Although Rusev didn’t appear on Raw this week, he did have a match on the show last week, as he lost in a tag team match alongside Humberto Carrillo vs Angel Garza and Bobby Lashley.

When The Bulgarian Brute will appear on our screens again is a mystery, as it looks like WWE is keeping him off TV until he makes a decision on his future with the company.

Fingers crossed there’s a resolution to Rusev’s contract situation with WWE soon and hopefully he’s back on Raw in the near future.
