It's worth watching the highlights if you don't believe us, but West Ham ran Liverpool mightily close at Anfield.

Sadio Mane's late winner ensured what should have been a routine three points for the hosts.

Instead, the Reds had to fight back from 2-1 down after Issa Diop and Pablo Fornals had handed David Moyes' side a shock lead.

For once, it looked like the 'mentality monsters' had got a little complacent.

The game-changer was Lukasz Fabianski's howler, the Hammers 'keeper allowing Mo Salah's rather tame shot to slip through his legs.

However, many Liverpool fans are also pointing to another man who turned the match on its head after coming on: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The midfielder replaced Naby Keita with 57 minutes on the clock but immediately made himself known on the pitch.

Not only did he create two chances to Keita's one, he made the same number of ball recoveries (five), created the same number of key passes (two) and also managed to complete 84% of his passes.

The England international recorded one interception and won two duels to top it off.

A video of his highlights has now been produced and it shows just how big an impact the 26-year-old made.

Jurgen Klopp has naturally had to nurse him back from a serious injury, hence why he's been a bit-part player so often.

The time may have come for that change as we approach the business end of the title run-in.

As for Keita, he arrived to such fanfare that it has been hard for him to live up to the hype.

Liverpool's midfield is so often pointed to as their 'weak' spot, if they actually have one.

That is ringing truer after Jordan Henderson was ruled out for three weeks, but that gives Oxlade-Chamberlain the perfect opportunity to step up and show he should be a regular starter.

It can't be ruled out that he could make a late push for the Euros either.
