It has been a good while since EA last dropped one of their iconic 'Fight Night' games and we think it's about time they revive the franchise. The last entry in the series, 'Fight Night Champion', which was released in March 2011 was a lot of fun and with boxing interest at an all-time high thanks to an incredible heavyweight division, now could be the time to strike. There can be no doubting that fight fans would welcome a new game with open arms following the success of previous editions. Now, it looks like they might be about to get their wish after former heavyweight Lennox Lewis confirmed that the publisher is considering bringing the game back.Speaking on Twitter, Lewis confirmed that EA is thinking about reviving the game for the introduction of both Sony and Microsft's new consoles.

The PS5 and the Series X have been creating a lot of hype and the opportunity to finally strap on the gloves from the comfort of your living room might just ramp up the excitement even further.

"Just heard @EASPORTS is considering bring back #FightNight for Xbox and PS5. What do you think about that? If they do, they better do me more justice on my fighter rating."

To say the reaction in the comments was positive, would be quite an understatement.

Fight fans are desperate for a new version of the beloved game and the prospect of playing it on next-gen consoles is simply too much for some to bear.

If EA gets it right, it really could be a stunning game with the likes of Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder all set to be favourite's among the players.

Eddie Hearn has also expressed his desire for a revival in the past and could play a big part in the development of the game should it come to fruition.

It just seems like a win-win situation for EA right now.

We really hope they can make it happen.
