Raheem Sterling reveals his daughter sings Mohamed Salah songs around the house

Manchester City v Manchester United - Carabao Cup: Semi Final

Up until this season, Raheem Sterling would have had absolutely no regrets in swapping Liverpool for Manchester City back in 2015.

Sterling upset Liverpool fans with his attitude before forcing a £49 million move to Manchester City.

But at the Etihad, the winger has taken his game to a new level.

He’s won two Premier League titles and has scored 89 goals for the club.

However, Sterling won’t be lifting the Premier League trophy for a third time this season because Liverpool are miles clear at the top.

It’s probably not easy to take for the former Liverpool man.

His daughter isn’t helping matters, either.

When Sterling wants to relax at home and take his mind off the fact his former side are 22 points clear, he has to deal with his eight-year-old daughter Melody singing Liverpool songs.

“She has my sort of personality and she likes to banter and chant Mo Salah’s songs to me,” Sterling told AS.

“She knows the rivalry between Liverpool and the team that I play for so she's always singing their songs and trying to wind me up but that's just her personality.”

It’s not the first time Sterling has admitted such a thing.

Back in June 2018, the City star wrote an article in The Players' Tribune revealing Melody is a big Salah fan.

"The other day, my daughter's running round the house singing a little song. And her dad just won the league with City. Just got 100 points in the league actually.

"Does she care? Haaaaa! Mate, she don't give two Scooby-Doos about Manchester City. She's Liverpool through and through.

"So she's running through the halls – and I swear to God she runs exactly like her dad. Chest puffed way out, back arched, hand flapping about a bit.

She's running through the halls like Raheem Sterling, and you know what she's singing? Mo Salah! Mo Salah! Mo Salah! Runnin' down the wing! Salahhhhh la la la la la la la! Egyptian king!

"Can you believe that? Cold-blooded, mate."

Not only are Liverpool living in Sterling's head rent-free, but they're also living in his house rent-free.
