Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira are two names we keep hearing alongside one another of late.

Unfortunately for the Manchester United duo, that's because there have been so many reports suggesting neither of them will be at the club next season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been doing his best to overhaul his squad and the two midfielders could be among those axed in the summer.

Pereira has been disappointing and struggled again in his most recent outing against Club Brugge, which ended 1-1.

As for Lingard, he hasn't registered a Premier League goal or assist all season.

The England international's shortcomings on the pitch have been well-documented, but so have his personal problems off it.

For that reason, some United fans have had sympathy with him and would like to see him turn things around.

Solskjaer warned him to cut down on his social media activity and to be fair to Lingard, he has done just that.

What he won't have been anticipating, however, is causing a storm on Twitter after a video emerged of him messing about with Pereira in training.

Some of the reaction from United fans can be seen below:

It's an isolated clip. Maybe the duo had been busting a gut for the rest of the session, but it's not a great look either way.

Neither of them were in the squad for the 3-0 win over Watford and the only way they are going to put that right is by putting in the hard graft, not by doing handstands.

It's understandable that United fans are going to be questioning the work ethic of both Pereira and Lingard.

Solskjaer won't be happy.

Lingard is a boyhood United fan and you almost feel for him if he's exiled from his dream club this summer. At the same time, it might be the wake-up call his career needs.
