Arsenal are out of the Europa League after Thursday’s shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of Olympiacos.

Mikel Arteta’s side were the strong favourites to advance to the last 16 after beating the Greek side 1-0 in Piraeus last week.

However, Olympiacos levelled the scores on aggregate early in the second half at the Emirates Stadium through Pape Cisse.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang appeared to have won it for Arsenal with a goal deep in extra-time, but Youssef El-Arabi stunned the home side with a 119th-minute winner.

Then, right at the death, Aubameyang spurned a gilt-edged opportunity to send the Gunners through, missing from seven yards with only the Olympiacos goalkeeper to beat.

Straight after the final whistle, football fans were salivating at the prospect of watching Arsenal fans in meltdown over on AFTV (the YouTube channel formerly known as Arsenal Fan TV)…

AFTV has become essential viewing after Arsenal suffer a poor result.

And the channel has racked up some serious views following the club’s latest humiliation.

AFTV regular DT refused to blame Aubameyang, adding that Arsenal would be in the Premier League relegation zone right now if it wasn’t for their captain.

Another regular, Moh, said: “This is humiliating. To get knocked out at this stage of this competition is humiliating. This isn’t Champions League, where we’re looking at teams who have got real danger, this is humiliation.”

He also decided to send Aubameyang some love, telling him to keep his head up, rather than criticise him following THAT miss - which was a nice touch.

Everyone was waiting for a classic Troopz rant, but the AFTV favourite was disheartened rather than furious.

He believes the Gunners’ season is now dead and also defended Aubameyang.

Another disgruntled fan, Turkish, criticised Mesut Ozil and Hector Bellerin after their underwhelming performances.

“Mesut Ozil today in 120 minutes, what did he do? F*** all. Hector Bellerin was embarrassing in that first half and didn’t do much better in the second half.”

So the overall mood from Arsenal fans was one of disappointment and frustration rather than anger.

They’ve been through so much over the past 10 years that crushing disappointment has become a very familiar feeling.
