Jurgen Klopp appears to be building a dynasty at Liverpool.

The Anfield club now have perhaps the most feared squad in football, boasting talent in every single position.

Despite that, there's a strong suggestion that the Reds will strengthen this summer.

Timo Werner has been heavily linked, while Kai Havertz has also been tipped with a move to Merseyside.

But there's no point in Klopp splashing the cash on players who aren't going to make an impact.

Will those two potential signings offer more than the likes of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho?

Well, according to former Liverpool player Jason McAteer, they very well could do.

In fact, he believes the club currently only have two 'irreplaceable' players.

"There are only two players in the Liverpool team who are irreplaceable - Virgil van Dijk and Alisson," the former midfielder told Racing Post, per the Mirror

"Take either of those two out of the starting 11 and Liverpool are instantly weaker.

"Take anyone else out, however, and it's a different story - and even though I am a massive fan of his, that includes Jordan Henderson.

"Jurgen Klopp has so much cover in all areas that he can afford to lose key men for periods."

It's certainly a bold claim to suggest Liverpool only have two irreplaceable players, considering just how brilliant they've been this season.

Klopp's side are storming to the Premier League title and need just four wins to confirm it.

They are also on course to become the competitions second-ever invincible team.

To suggest only Van Dijk and Alisson are irreplaceable might be a little insulting to the rest of the squad that have achieved incredible things already this season.
