Deontay Wilder's feeble excuse claiming that his heavy ring-walk costume cost him the fight with Tyson Fury did not go down well in boxing circles.
The American was outclassed and overpowered by an inspired Fury and his attempts to justify his woeful performance have only embarrassed him further.
Wilder's belief that the costume tired his legs out was quickly debunked as fight fans hashed up some old footage of the American telling Joe Rogan he trains in a vest that weighs more than the costume.
All in all, It has been a difficult week for Wilder in the world of boxing, but he shouldn't be expecting any sympathy from other combat sports circles either, especially not form UFC chief, Dana White.
Speaking to TMZ recently, White didn't mince his words when discussing Wilder's costume catastrophe - reiterating that Fury was just far the better boxer on the night
"I think there's a lot to it. Fury looked awesome," White said.
"Fury fought a perfect fight. But, if you think about boxing and fights when fighters are getting ready, they're in the back. They're relaxing. Some guys sleep. Some guys just lay around and chill.
"Then you get up, you time it out, do your warm-up. Then you throw something on to stay warm. You don't put all this gear on and all this stuff.
"That's why I don't do any of that bulls**t in the UFC. I don't like it. I don't like any of that."
White was having none of Wilder's claims that his costume affected his performance on the night, though.

Too right.
Fury was sensational at the MGM Grand, bullying Wilder from start to finish and was full value for his monumental win.
Now, the pair look set for a third meeting in Sin City sometime during the summer in what many think could be a very similar fight to the second.
You can't help but feel that Wilder's walk to the ring might look very different this time around.
