DAZN, the so-called Netflix of sport, is finally on its way to the United Kingdom.Media giants Sky and BT might be forced to watch their massive share of the spoils shrink ever more when DAZN launches in May, primarily showing boxing but with an eye on wrestling their way into the crowded Premier League broadcasting game. The expectation is that the service will focus primarily on boxing for now, with reports suggesting that they are planning a massive bid for Tyson Fury's trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder. The first headline fight we can expect on DAZN is the exciting clash between Billy Joe Sauder's and Saul Canelo Alvarez. The streaming service's planned expansion marks yet another massive shift in the British broadcasting landscape after Amazon recently entered the market by showing all of the Premier League's Boxing Day fixtures in 2019.For just £4.99 a month, fans can enjoy everything the service has to offer - an absolute bargain when you consider the fact that most pay-per-view fights can often cost a minimum of £25 a pop.Unfortunately, any Anthony Joshua fights are off-limits for now, with the British superstar tied down to an iron-clad deal with Sky until 2021.Since their launch in 2016, DAZN's services have exploded globally, expanding into nine countries including Austria, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United States where they broadcast the likes of the Premier League, Champions League, Six Nations and the Bundesliga

"Boxing's global resurgence makes it the ideal time to roll out our sports streaming service around the world," said DAZN EVP Joseph Markowski.

"This follows DAZN's significant investment in the sport over the past two years. 2020 is shaping up to be a huge year in the ring and we're looking forward to our global kick-off starting with Canelo Alvarez on 2 May."

It's about time.
