Women's Sport: Wales make two changes for clash against England

Wales Women v Ireland Women - Women's Six Nations

Wales' head coach Chris Horsman has made two changes to the side that lost 50-0 to France in round three of the Six Nations.

Horsman has replaced centre Megan Webb and second-row Gwen Crabb with Hannah Jones and Natalia John who were both dropped for the clash with France.

Wales are still looking for their first win of this year's Six Nations, having lost their first three matches against Italy, Ireland and France. Horsman has consistently selected youthful sides for previous fixtures but has dropped 19-year-old Webb and 20-year-old Crabb in favour of the more experienced Jones and John.

Wales will face championship holders and the only fully professional side in the competition, England, in their fourth round of the Six Nations. Horsman says he is aware of the "huge challenge" his side will face when they lined up at The Stoop on Saturday.

"England are one of the best teams in the world right now, if not the best."

The head coach is adopting a long-term approach to the championship with one eye on the upcoming Rugby World Cup in New Zealand in 2021.

"The girls are ready to test themselves again against the best, that's what they want to do in order to improve ahead of next year's Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

"We are fulfilling our aims of growing depth in the squad by exposing players to this level of the game," Horsman added.
