AC Milan are ready to hijack Liverpool's move for Newcastle United full-back Jose Enrique, report talkSPORT

The Spainish international has been the shining light for the Magpies this season, and his performances haven't gone unnoticed across Europe.

According to report in Italy, the Rossoneri are leading the race for the full-back, who would be available for around £10 million.

The 25-year-old, whose current contact runs out in 2012, has hinted he will make a decision over his future after the current season has ended

Liverpool were heavily linked with Enrique during the January transfer window after Paul Konchesky was sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest, and Kenny Dalglish, a known admirer of the Spaniard, could see the former Villarreal man as the key to solving their left sided problem.

The Reds are expected to make wholesale changes this summer as Dalglish aims to propel the Anfield club back into the Champions League, and back challenging for the Barclays Premier League title.
