Lucas Torreira has suffered what appears to be a serious injury on Monday evening. The Uruguayan was in the starting eleven for Arsenal's FA Cup fifth round game against Portsmouth at Fratton Park. But his night was curtailed as he was stretchered off in the 16th minute.James Bolton got both the ball and man in what was a dangerous scissor challenge. And Torreira was left writing around in agony as a result.Watch the challenge below:

Mike Dean didn't even give a foul for that heavy tackle.

Unfortunately, despite Torreira being in clear pain, some Portsmouth fans didn't show much class.

That's because, per Evening Standard journalist James Olley among others, the home fans sang “You’re going home in a f***ing ambulance" as Torreira was on the floor.

Disgusting. It was only a minority that sang the chants but you have to wonder what goes through people's heads.

Torreira is genuinely hurt and for some odd reason some 'fans' think it's funny to mock him.

It brings back shades of Stoke fans who taunted Aaron Ramsey for years after he suffered a broken leg in 2010.

The majority of Portsmouth fans did give Torreira a standing ovation as he left the pitch on a stretcher, showing it was just a minority that mocked him when he was on the floor.

We hope that Torreira's injury isn't as serious as it looked and we wish him a speedy recovery.
