What looked to have been a promising position for Ricochet to be in has soon turned into what looks to be a lot of frustration.Ever since he joined WWE in 2018 when he headed to NXT, there was the expectation that the high-flyer would be the next Rey Mysterio, just without the mask. The in-ring skills and the agility is there for all to see, and what he may lack in microphone skills he certainly makes up for with his natural talent.Warning signs were soon signalled though just two months into his main roster run last year though, as Ricochet was defeated by Bobby Roode on a regular episode of Raw very unexpectedly, and it was clean as a whistle.Ricochet won his first main roster title by defeating Samoa Joe for the United States Championship, but his reign was ended at 21 days by AJ Styles, and for the rest of 2019 he did nothing significant at all.Things looked to be changing though following the Royal Rumble, as the 'One and Only' earned the right to face the WWE Champion - Brock Lesnar - at Super ShowDown. It's been proven that Lesnar likes putting on a show with the smaller stars, but in this case it wasn't to be, as Ricochet was squashed in just 80 seconds and failed to land a single blow. And just when things couldn't get much worse after being humiliated on a big stage, Ricochet lost yet again on Monday Night Raw - but this time it was to the relatively-unknown 24/7 Champion Riddick Moss. The commentators did play off the fact that he took a beating from the hands of Lesnar four days ago, but it wasn't a good look for him to lose to someone who isn't really taken seriously. To add further fuel to the fire, Ricochet was filmed by fans heading backstage, and he didn't look too happy about being booked to be defeated.

The loss is that bad that quite a few fans think that he is being 'buried' - basically meaning his stock is going to fall as he is just out of favour with the powers-that-be.

He doesn't have a clear path to WrestleMania 36, and it increasingly looks like he will be in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, unless he could somehow be placed in a multi-man match for the United States Title.

Based on the fact that he lost to Riddick Moss though, his chances of being in a decent Mania storyline look very slim indeed.
