Despite losing to Watford last weekend, Liverpool are still on course to ease their way to Premier League glory. They remain 22 points clear of Manchester City - although they have played one game more than Pep Guardiola’s side. But the Reds need just four more wins to seal their first ever Premier League title.Surely nothing can stop them now. Well, that’s what Liverpool fans thought until reports emerged last week that there’s a chance the coronavirus can see the Premier League season cancelled.Bookmakers currently have the odds of that happening at 5/1. Matches being played behind-closed-doors is a more likely scenario than the entire campaign being cancelled at this stage. However, the coronavirus isn’t the only thing that could stop Liverpool from winning the league. On Tuesday, the Daily Express produced an article reporting NASA are tracking an asteroid that could hit Earth on April 29 and “could end human civilisation.”

The ‘killer rock’ measures 2.5 miles (4.1km) across and is travelling at about 8.7km per second or 19,461mph (31,320kmh).

According to the Planetary Society, an asteroid bigger than 0.6 miles (1km) across is big enough to threaten global destruction.

Of course, the chances of this asteroid hitting earth is extremely slim and it’s expected to miss us by a massive 3.9 million miles (6.29 million km). That is still deemed as a 'close hit.'

But that hasn’t stopped Liverpool fans from, jokingly, fearing the very worst.

It's alright, we're sure Alisson will probably save it or Virgil van Dijk will head it away.
