At the start of last week, Liverpool had lost just twice in all competitions this season. That came against Napoli in the Champions League and when a very youthful side took on Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.They were on course to go the entire Premier League season unbeaten and looked unstoppable.Suddenly, they’ve lost three of their previous four matches in three different competitions and failed to score in those defeats. So, what has happened? Of course, it’s all because of 10-year-old Manchester United fan, Daragh Curley.Last month, the young lad from Donegal in Ireland, wrote Jurgen Klopp a letter asking him to make Liverpool lose.“Liverpool are winning too many games,” Daragh wrote. “So the next time Liverpool play please make them lose.“You should just let the other team score.”And the Liverpool manager even replied.Klopp apologised saying he couldn’t grant his request but added “we will lose games in the future because that is football”.But he probably didn’t expect to lose three games in such quick succession.Because since that letter landed on Klopp’s desk, Liverpool have lost 1-0 to Atletico Madrid, 3-0 to Watford and now 2-0 to Chelsea.

Has Daragh cursed Liverpool?

The Reds may have facing elimination in the Champions League and crashed out of the FA Cup but they still command a 22-point lead in the Premier League.

Oh, and if any Liverpool wants to get one over the 10-year-old, they’re only 37 points ahead of his beloved United side.

If United win all of their remaining games and Liverpool lose them all, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will finish seven points adrift.

But if the Reds lose to Bournemouth on Saturday, we'll start thinking Daragh has special powers!
