Tottenham are facing an uphill battle to keep club captain Harry Kane at the club.
The English striker has been at the club for 16 years and has scored a whopping 181 goals.
However, despite regular Champions League football, trophies have eluded Kane for the entirety of his career in north London.
For a player regarded by many as one of the great out-and-out strikers of the modern era, an empty trophy cabinet is simply not acceptable.
With Jose Mourinho tasked with rebuilding the Spurs squad, Kane now faces a very difficult decision. Does he stay with his beloved club or does he jump ship to stand a better chance of winning the silverware he desperately craves?
Sadly for Spurs fans, it's looking more like the latter. According to Goal, Kane is said to be keen on a move to Manchester United in the summer.
The England captain does not want to be part of Mourinho's extensive rebuild, with the club also likely to miss out on Champions League football for the 2020/21 season.
Daniel Levy will be able to command a humungous fee for the striker, though. Kane's latest contract renewal saw him extend his stay in north London until 2024.
He's also still just 26, meaning United and Ed Woodward would likely have to cough up an amount close to £200m.
So is it a deal that United should pursue, given that the man in question is keen?
In terms of talent, it's a no-brainer. Kane is one of the world's great strikers and is guaranteed to score at least 30 goals a season in all competitions.
However, that does depend on whether he remains fit. Injuries have become regular occurrences in Kane's career - he's currently sidelined with a serious hamstring tear.
If you're going to shatter the Premier League transfer record, United may not wish to do so on a player that could miss a litany of games each season.
