It was a tough 2019 for WWE's resident high-flyer Jeff Hardy, but things are already looking more positive for the current year.
Just two nights after WrestleMania 35, a re-united Jeff and Matt Hardy won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships from The Usos.
But they were unable to make a defence as Jeff had blown his knee out completely, and was put on the sidelines for between six and nine months.
What would follow during his time out injured though would be bad news for Jeff and WWE fans, as he was arrested not once, but twice last year, and because of this many thought his days with the company were numbered.
His first arrest came in July, where he was handcuffed for 'public intoxication', and then less than three months later, Jeff was arrested yet again, this time for 'driving whilst impaired', and both actions led to WWE stating that he was 'responsible for his own actions'.
It's been five months since his last brush with the law, but things seem to be looking up, as Jeff appeared on WWE Backstage last night and revealed what had been happening since we last saw him.
His injury allowed him to spend some time at home, and it was in a time of need as his father was ill and it allowed him to spend some quality time with him, before he got into trouble himself.
Hardy also revealed that the day after he was arrested for the second time in 2019, he booked himself into a rehabilitation clinic for his addictions, the first time he had entered rehab in his entire life.
It looks like it's done the trick though, as he has been officially cleared to return to the ring, but he won't be re-united The Hardy Boyz again as Matt left the company earlier this week.
Jeff's contract was due to expire at the same time, but time added on due to injuries suffered means that for now, the Charismatic Enigma will remain a WWE superstar, and now he's reformed, we may see him back to his best.
Could we see him back in the main event scene in 2020? It's been over 11 years since Hardy won the WWE Championship - and there's no reason why he can't rise to the top again.News Now - Sport News
