Liverpool look as though they’re well on their way to winning their first Premier League title. Though, with the lucrative talent they have had at their disposal since their formation, you might have thought they’d have more.

Anfield has truly been gifted with some of the most exceptional talents English football has ever seen.

Many now believe that this current set of Liverpool players set to get their hands on the league title this year are amongst the best the club has ever had.

Of course, despite not ever winning a Premier League, Liverpool’s teams of the past have been world-renowned on the European stage with a staggering six Champions League titles. Combine that with three UEFA Cups, eight Football League Cups and seven FA Cups and you have one of the most decorated clubs in world football.

So, with close to 10,000 voters on Ranker, who are the top 50 players in Liverpool’s entire history and who – more importantly – gets into that elite top 10?

No surprises about Mr. Liverpool himself Steven Gerrard finishing top of the rankings. Don’t expect him to be slipping his way down this table anytime soon.

Perhaps the most shocking absentee is young Trent Alexander-Arnold. His counter-part Robertson just made the cut at 50 but there was no way in for the England international.

It’s Suarez, Owen, Torres, and in that order according to the ranking, despite Owen recording 158 goals in all competitions for the club compared to 82 and 81 for Suarez and Torres respectively.

Van Dijk is sitting in 22nd behind the likes of Arne Riise… we will leave you to decide who the better defender is, remembering of course one of them came second in the race for the Ballon d’Or.
