Manchester United usually dominate the headlines during the transfer window and this summer probably won’t be any different.

The Red Devils were linked with a ridiculous 113 players during the January transfer window, such is their supremacy in the back pages.

March has only just begun and yet you will already see a number of reports linking them to various targets.

Jack Grealish, Jadon Sancho, James Maddison… take your pick of young, exciting talents and they’ve probably been talked about as a future United player.

So before the chaos gets underway, we’ve predicted United’s starting line-up for the 2020/21 season.

Goal are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane would prefer to join United than remain at Spurs, but we don’t think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will make a move for the England international.

He has Marcus Rashford at his disposal and youngster Mason Greenwood has proven that he’s ready to make the step up to the first team.

Kane would cost more than £100 million and we don’t think the Red Devils would be ready to part with such an amount for a striker.

But that’s not to say they won’t be splashing the cash. Let’s get into it.

GK | David de Gea

De Gea’s future has been questioned following a string of mistakes but it’ll be hard for United to sell a player who has been one of the best in his position for the past few years.

It seems more likely that the club will give De Gea a chance to rediscover his best form.

RB | Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The right-back position belongs to Wan-Bissaka and he’ll look to push on in his sophomore campaign at Old Trafford.

CB | Victor Lindelof

Solskjaer seems to prefer Lindelof to Eric Bailly but the two will battle to partner Maguire at the heart of defence next season.

Surprised not to see Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly in this position? Well the Senegalese international turns 29 in the summer and we think this is a move that will just never happen, despite the incessant number of reports.

CB | Harry Maguire

Maguire’s first season at Old Trafford has already seen him inherit the captain’s armband.

LB | Luke Shaw

Shaw has impressed as a left-sided centre-back in recent weeks but he’ll face competition to start from Brandon Williams.

It remains to be seen how long Shaw can keep the 19-year-old out of the side for.

CM | Fred

Fred’s second season in England is going significantly better than his first.

He’s now settled and will retain his place in the starting line-up next season.

CAM | Bruno Fernandes

The Portuguese midfielder has been a revelation since joining Man United from Sporting Lisbon in January.

He’s provided creativity, tenacity and the link between midfield and attack that the club have lacked due to Paul Pogba’s absence.

Fernandes is quickly turning into a fan favourite.

CAM | Jack Grealish

Hello.

Man United will complete a move for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish in the summer.

The 24-year-old has proved himself to be Premier League-quality this season and deserves to be playing for a top side.

The Sun are reporting that United are prepared to pay up to £60 million for the playmaker, with wages of £150,000-per-week.

RW | Jadon Sancho

Now we’re talking.

We reckon Sancho will complete a blockbuster move to Man United in the summer, with the Red Devils beating competition from their rivals for the Borussia Dortmund and England star.

According to Bleacher Report, Sancho “loves” the idea of joining Man United.

They can give their chances of signing the 19-year-old a big boost if they secure Champions League football.

The forward will cost more than £100m but United can afford him.

And given his immense talent, it would be a move they wouldn’t regret.

ST | Anthony Martial

Martial has his detractors but he always poses a threat and has scored 10 goals in the league this season.

Perhaps Solskjaer will look to add stiffer competition to the Frenchman’s position - we’re not expecting Odion Ighalo to be that competitor - but top strikers don’t come cheap and a combination of Martial, Marcus Rashford and Sancho, with Greenwood coming off the bench, will be very potent.

LW | Marcus Rashford

Rashford was enjoying a great season before he went down with a back injury in January.

He showed that he can lead United’s attack and provide goals on a consistent basis.

Just imagine how many he’ll get when he links up with Fernandes.

Man United's 2020/21 XI

So we don’t think United will sign Maddison from Leicester.

The England international has impressed this season but he’ll be harder to sign than Grealish. The fact that he’s gone nine games without scoring doesn’t help.

Where’s Paul Pogba, we here you ask?

The Frenchman has endured a miserable season and his professionalism has been questioned numerous times.

The Red Devils could possibly cash in on Pogba in the summer and use that money to improve the squad with a new centre-back or striker.
