Vince McMahon reportedly rewrote the script for Monday Night Raw this week just before the WWE show went on the air.

This week’s Raw had a couple of great segments including the clash between Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar at the top of the show, as well as the main event angle which saw Randy Orton deliver an RKO to Beth Phoenix.

However, the rest of the show was a bit underwhelming, and it received a negative reaction by many WWE fans on social media as a result.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said that even with his focus on the XFL, Vince McMahon is still very hands-on with Raw even when he’s not backstage. The WWE Chairman was backstage on Monday and he didn’t like what was planned so he decided to rewrite the show.

Alvarez said, via Wrestling News: “I don’t know everything that happened on Monday but I do know that this guy showed up and he changed everything again. Apparently, it was worse than usual and if you watched the show, the show was worse than usual.”

Many fans complained on social media about how the 24/7 Championship match between Riddick Moss and Ricochet was booked on this week’s Raw.

Coming off a quick WWE title match loss vs Lesnar at Super ShowDown, many thought Ricochet would bounce back make quick work of Moss and win the 24/7 title.

However, quite the opposite happened, as Moss was able to defeat Ricochet and retain his 24/7 title, continuing what many have deemed as a burial of Ricochet like many WWE superstars before him.

This wasn’t the only questionable booking decision on Raw, as we also saw Aleister Black suffer his first televised singles loss to AJ Styles in a match that had been promoted over the past week.

If you needed evidence that things won’t change in WWE unless Vince McMahon takes more hands-off role of the product, then look no further than this past week’s Raw.

As for Ricochet, we’ll have to wait and see what lies ahead for him, but after how he’s been booked over the past week at Super ShowDown and Raw, it doesn’t look promising.
