Vince McMahon is reportedly having doubts about booking Shayna Baszler to face Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36.

It has been rumoured for a couple of months now that Baszler will face Lynch for the Raw Women’s title at this year’s WrestleMania in Tampa on April 5.

WWE started to lay down the foundations for this match over the past couple of weeks with the introduction of The Queen of Spades on Raw, attacking The Man.

Baszler is also booked in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match this Sunday where the winner will face the Raw Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 36, a match which she is expected to win.

However, those plans may have now changed after what happened this week on Raw with Baszler’s match with Kairi Sane, as Vince McMahon is reportedly having doubts about The Queen of Spades.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, via Wrestling News, Dave Meltzer noted that there is uncertainty on McMahon’s feelings about Shayna Baszler, specifically following her match with Sane on this week’s Raw.

Meltzer noted that the WWE Chairman felt that the Baszler vs. Sane match did not get the desired reaction and he felt that The Queen of Spades was not coming off like a WrestleMania headliner.

Therefore, there’s a chance McMahon could change his mind on Baszler winning at Elimination Chamber this weekend and going on to face Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.

If McMahon does this, this will be the second time he has changed his mind on Baszler in this year alone, as she was the original pick to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match back in January, only for McMahon to change it to Charlotte Flair just one week before the show.

Baszler has been receiving a push on Raw as of late because Paul Heyman sees the potential in her to be a monster heel in WWE.

Yet, if McMahon doesn’t see the same as Heyman, The Queen of Spades’ push is at risk of being dropped very quickly.

We could know if Vince still believes in Baszler as early as this Sunday at Elimination Chamber.
